KAEYA TALENTS / SKILLS
Normal Attack: Perform up to 5 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging enemies along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Frostgnaw (Elemental Skill): Unleashes a frigid blast, dealing Cryo DMG to opponents in front of Kaeya.

Glacial Waltz (Elemental Burst): Coalescing the frost in the air, Kaeya summons 3 icicles that revolve around him. These icicles will follow the character around and deal Cryo DMG to opponents in their path for the ability’s duration.

Cold-Blooded Strike: Every hit with Frostgnaw regenerates HP for Kaeya equal to 15% of his ATK.

Glacial Heart: Opponents Frozen by Frostgnaw will drop additional Elemental Particles.
Frostgnaw may only produce a maximum of 2 additional Elemental Particles per use.

DPS: Kaeya has 2 viable choices as a DPS unit. He can be played as a Cryo or Physical damager dealer. Choose based on what you have available. She needs a lot of ATK, CR, CD, Cryo/Physical followed by ER and EM.
DAMAGE SUPPORT: This is his most effective role. To get the most use out of him as a support, you’ll build him like a dps but with more focus on ER and EM first followed by damage stats.
These are also general recommendations, you will need to alter your artifacts and stat builds based on what content you want to use this character for and what team you are using him/her with, however, these are consider among the best swords for Kaeya. A general rule for DPS units are CR is roughly 50% of your CD.
KAEYA CONSTELLATIONS
Excellent Blood (Lvl 1): The CRIT Rate of Kaeya’s Normal and Charge Attacks against opponents affected by Cryo is increased by 15%.
Never-Ending Performance (Lvl 2): Every time Glacial Waltz defeats an opponent during its duration, its duration is increased by 2.5s, up to a maximum of 15s.
Dance of Frost (Lvl 3): Increases the level of Frostgnaw by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Frozen Kiss (Lvl 4): Triggers automatically when Kaeya’s HP falls below 20%: Creates a shield that absorbs damage equal to 30% of Kaeya’s Max HP. Lasts for 20s. This shield absorbs Cryo DMG with 250% efficiency. Can only occur once every 60s.
Frostbiting Embrace (Lvl 5): Increases the Level of Glacial Waltz by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Glacial Whirlwind (Lvl 6): Glacial Waltz will generate 1 additional icicle, and will regenerate 15 Energy when cast.
STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES
STRENGTHS:
- Kaeya is very beginner friendly dps/sub dps character in Genshin Impact!
- His burst is really great with freeze comp as it spirals around him constantly.
- His 3rd passive reduces stamina consumption while sprinting is huge for exploration and makes it way more efficient.
- His E has a really short cooldown.
WEAKNESSES
- As you progress through the game, he get’s outclassed by other Cryo dps units.
- Other than his burst, his other skills are OK at best.
- His burst AoE is quite small.
RANKING
Combat Rating (8/10): Kaeya is super simple when it comes to combat. He doesn’t need any gimicks to make him work and is ready to go right off the bat.
Exploration (10/10): His 3rd skill gives your entire team 20% sprinting reduction. This is perfect for exploring the map. You should definitely add him to your travel team for quicker exploration.
Spiral Abyss (7/10): His ability to create elemental reactions and AoE damage makes him useful in some comps. If you pair him with another elemental close combat character like Hu Tao, then he’s great for lots of melt reactions for additional damage. You can also use him with Xiangling for double elemental spirals.
Artifact Farming (7/10): He’s pretty good for early game farming. Keep in mind he needs a close quarter combat dps character to be effective.
Normal/Weekly Bosses (6/10): He’s serves the same role here as he does in spiral abyss.
