XIAO TALENTS / SKILLS
Normal Attack: Performs up to 6 consecutive spear strikes.
Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to perform an upward thrust.
Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. Xiao does not take DMG from performing Plunging Attacks.
Lemniscatic Wind Cycling (Elemental Skill): Xiao lunges forward, dealing Anemo DMG to opponents in his path. Can be used in mid-air. Starts with 2 charges.
COOLDOWN: 10s
Bane of All Evil (Elemental Burst): Xiao dons the Yaksha Mask that set gods and demons trembling millennia ago.
Yaksha’s Mask
- Greatly increases Xiao’s jumping ability.
- Increases his attack AoE and attack DMG.
- Converts attack DMG into Anemo DMG, which cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion.
In this state, Xiao will continuously lose HP.
The effects of this skill end when Xiao leaves the field.

Conqueror of Evil: Tamer of Demons: While under the effects of Bane of All Evil, all DMG dealt by Xiao increases by 5%. DMG increases by a further 5% for every 3s the ability persists. The maximum DMG Bonus is 25%.

Dissolution Eon: Heaven Fall: Using Lemniscatic Wind Cycling increases the DMG of subsequent uses of Lemniscatic Wind Cycling by 15%. This effect lasts for 7s, and has a maximum of 3 stacks. Gaining a new stack refreshes the effect’s duration.

Transcension: Gravity Defier: Decreases climbing Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%.

MAIN DPS: Xiao is considered a selfish DPS carry. Due to his skill set this is the only role he can do currently. Focus on ATK, CR, CD, Anemo DMG, and Energy Recharge to get the most out of him. You just need him to deal a massive amount of damage.
These are also general recommendations, you will need to alter your artifacts and stat builds based on what content you want to use this character for and what team you are using him/her with, however, these are consider among the best polearms for Xiao. A general rule for DPS units are CR is roughly 50% of your CD.

Dissolution Eon: Destroyer of Worlds (Lvl 1): Increases Lemniscatic Wind Cycling’s charges by 1.
Annihilation Eon: Blossom of Kaleidos (Lvl 2): When in the party and not on the field, Xiao’s Energy Recharge is increased by 25%.
Conqueror of Evil: Wrath Deity (Lvl 3): Increases the Level of Lemniscatic Wind Cycling by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Transcension: Extinction of Suffering (Lvl 4): When Xiao’s HP falls below 50%, he gains a 100% DEF Bonus.
Evolution Eon: Origin of Ignorance (Lvl 5): Increases the Level of Bane of All Evil by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Conqueror of Evil: Guardian Yaksha (Lvl 6): While under the effects of Bane of All Evil, hitting at least 2 opponents with Xiao’s Plunging Attack will immediately grant him 1 charge of Lemniscatic Wind Cycling, and for the next 1s, he may use Lemniscatic Wind Cycling while ignoring its CD.
STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES
STRENGTHS:
- Xiao is an amazing AoE DPS unit in Genshin Impact!
- Her burst allows him to jump high in the air and dive down to do big AoE damage. It’s also great for evading enemy attacks.
- He is ready out of the box, meaning you don’t need a lot of practice to use him right away unlike other DPS mains like Hu Tao.
- Due to his passive which decreases stamina, he is an excellent map exploration character.
WEAKNESSES
- He is a selfish carry which means once he has his burst up he cannot leave the field.
- Due to his skillkit, he has no other role than main dps unlike other dps units in the character that can also be burst dps.
- His playstyle can be monotonous for some players as you will spend all of your time plunging.
RANKING
Combat Rating (9/10): Xiao’s combat is amazing for mobs and spiral abyss. Though he’s not the best when it comes to single boss fights.
Exploration (10/10): He is one of the best for exploration due to his climbing passive and his AoE helps deal with monsters quickly.
Spiral Abyss (10/10): Spiral Abyss have lots of mops which is the ideal environment for Xiao to truly shine.
Artifact Farming (9/10): He serves the same role here as she does in the Abyss.
Normal/Weekly Bosses (6/10): He’s not great for Boss fights. You generally want strong single target DPS for bosses like Hu Tao.
