XINYAN TALENTS / SKILLS

Normal Attack: Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack: Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents.
At the end of the sequence, perform a more powerful slash.

Plunging Attack:  Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Sweeping Fervor (Elemental Skill):  Xinyan brandishes her instrument, dealing Pyro DMG on nearby opponents, forming a shield made out of her audience’s passion.
The shield’s DMG Absorption scales based on Xinyan’s DEF and on the number of opponents hit.

  • Hitting 0 – 1 opponents grants Shield Level 1: Ad Lib.
  • Hitting 2 opponents grants Shield Level 2: Lead-In.
  • Hitting 3 or more opponents grants Shield Level 3: Rave, which will also deal intermittent Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.

The shield has the following special properties:

  • When unleashed, it infuses Xinyan with Pyro.
  • It has 250% DMG Absorption effectiveness against Pyro DMG.

DURATION: 12s COOLDOWN: 18s

Riff Revolution (Elemental Burst):  Strumming rapidly, Xinyan launches nearby opponents and deals Physical DMG to them, hyping up the crowd. The sheer intensity of the atmosphere will cause explosions that deal Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.

DURATION: 2s COOLDOWN: 15s ENERGY COST: 60s

XINYAN PASSIVE

“The Show Goes On, Even Without An Audience…”: Decreases the number of opponents Sweeping Fervor must hit to trigger each level of shielding.

  • Shield Level 2: Lead-In requirement reduced to 1 opponent hit.
  • Shield Level 3: Rave requirement reduced to 2 opponents hit or more.
  • Unlocked at Ascension 1

“…Now That’s Rock ‘N’ Roll!”: Characters shielded by Sweeping Fervor deal 15% increased Physical DMG.

  • Unlocked at Ascension 4

A Rad Recipe: When a Perfect Cooking is achieved on a DEF-boosting dish, Xinyan has a 12% chance to obtain double the product.

  • Unlocked Automatically

XINYAN BUILDS / STRATEGY

HP | ATK | DEF% | DEF%/PHYSICAL% | CR/CD%

SHIELD/BURST SUPPORT: This is hands down the best build to get the most use out of Xinyan. You want to focus on her shield then squeeze out damage afterwards. Even though her shield isn’t the strongest, having the Bolide artifacts will help with that. Focus on DEF% then Physical Damage followed by CR and CD. ER is also nice here to get her boost up more, but it’s not necessary since her shield is her E.

These are also general recommendations, you will need to alter your artifacts and stat builds based on what content you want to use this character for and what team you are using him/her with, however, these are consider among the best claymores for Xinyan. A general rule for DPS units are CR is roughly 50% of your CD.

XINYAN CONSTELLATIONS

Fatal Acceleration (Lvl 1): Upon scoring a CRIT Hit, increases ATK SPD of Xinyan’s Normal and Charged Attacks by 12% for 5s.
Can only occur once every 5s.

Impromptu Opening (Lvl 2): Riff Revolution’s Physical DMG has its CRIT Rate increased by 100%, and will form a shield at Shield Level 3: Rave when cast.

Double-Stop (Lvl 3):  Increases the Level of Sweeping Fervor by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Wildfire Rhythm (Lvl 4): Sweeping Fervor’s swing DMG decreases opponent’s Physical RES by 15% for 12s.

Screamin’ for an Encore (Lvl 5): Increases the Level of Rift Revolution by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Rockin’ in a Flaming World (Lvl 6): Decreases the Stamina Consumption of Xinyan’s Charged Attacks by 30%. Additionally, Xinyan’s Charged Attacks gain an ATK Bonus equal to 50% of her DEF.

STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES

STRENGTHS:

  • Xingyan is a very flexible charcter in Genshin Impact.
  • She’s really a shield who can also do damage.
  • Her 2nd constellation is really great which means you can just focus on CD.
  • She’s a quick swap character that doesn’t take up a lot of time, leaving more time for you main dps to deal more damage.

WEAKNESSES

  • She really needs the Bolide Artifact to make her a viable shield.
  • She doesn’t really excel in any singular field and makes her a little confusing to build.

RANKING

Combat Rating (8/10): Her combat is fun and there’s no caveats to use her. As a burst support you really are just hopping in use your E and Burst when ready.

Exploration (8/10): Claymores are always a welcome asset to exploring the map since they are great for mine ores, crystals, etc.

Spiral Abyss (3/10): Unfortunately, she’s a jack of all trades kind of character making other characters, who specialize, better for this content.

Artifact Farming (6/10): She’s useful here if you don’t need a strong shield but want to do more damage to make the runs faster.

Normal/Weekly Bosses (4/10): The bosses can hit pretty hard and might go through your shield quickly unless you have high investment in her.
