Normal Attack: Perform up to 6 consecutive shots with a bow.

Charge Level 1: Fires off an icy arrow that deals Cryo DMG.
Charge Level 2: Fires off a Frostflake Arrow that deals Cryo DMG. The Frostflake Arrow blooms after hitting its target, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.
Plunging Attack: Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Trail of the Qilin (Elemental Skill): Leaving a single Ice Lotus behind, Ganyu dashes backward, shunning all impurity and dealing AoE Cryo DMG.
Continuously taunts surrounding opponents, attracting them to attack it.
Endurance scales based on Ganyu’s Max HP.
Blooms profusely when destroyed or once its duration ends, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.

MAIN DPS: Ganyu should be built as a nuker if you want the most out of her. You want as much ATK, CR, and CD on her followed with Cryo DMG. It’s recommended to bring a Cryo battery with her like Diona for cryo energy particles so you won’t need ER.
BURST SUPPORT: If you want her more as a crowd burst sub dps then focus on ATK, Cryo DMG, CR, CD, and ER. Nobless is a good set on her if you are using her as a support if no one else is using the Nobless set. Keep in mind this is not a recommended build, but it is usable.
These are also general recommendations, you will need to alter your artifacts and stat builds based on what content you want to use this character for and what team you are using him/her with, however, these are consider among the best bows for Ganyu. A general rule for DPS units are CR is roughly 50% of your CD.
GANYU CONSTELLATIONS
Dew-Drinker (Lvl 1): Taking DMG from a Charge Level 2 Frostflake Arrow Bloom decreases opponents’ Cryo RES by 15% for 6s. A hit regenerates 2 Energy for Ganyu. This effect can only occur once per Charge Level 2 Frostflake Arrow, regardless if Frostflake Arrow itself or its Bloom hit the target.
The Auspicious (Lvl 2): Trail of the Qilin gains 1 additional charge.
Cloud-Strider (Lvl 3): Increases the level of Celestial Shower by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Westward Sojourn (Lvl 4): Opponents standing within the AoE of Celestial Shower take increased DMG. This effect strengthens over time. Increased DMG taken begins at 5% and increases by 5% every 3s, up to a maximum of 25%.
The effect lingers for 3s after the opponent leaves the AoE.
The Merciful (Lvl 5): Increases the level of Trail of the Qilin by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
The Clement (Lvl 6): Using Trail of the Qilin causes the next Frostflake Arrow shot within 30s to not require charging.
STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES
STRENGTHS:
- Ganyu is a DPS queen in Genshin Impact!
- Her E draws enemies which allows you to shoot them easier.
- All of her skills are AoE making her a beast when clearing mobs.
- She is excellent in exploration to clear many challenges that involve range weapons.
- She’s useful from early to end game in nearly every aspect.
- Her weapon is craftable.
WEAKNESSES
- Since she’s a bow user, her consecutive attacks are slower than that of single target DPS characters.
- Also as a bow user, she’ll require some aiming skills which will require some practice.
- She is weak against Cryo Shield monsters since they are immune.
RANKING
Combat Rating (9/10): Her AoE DPS is what she is most known for when dealing with lots of enemies at once. She’s also ready to go right out the box, which means you don’t need constellations or combos to use her right away. Her only caveot is that she does require practice aiming since she’s a bow user.
Exploration (10/10): She is amazing to have on your exploration team as she can pop the balloons and blow up bombs from a distance making it easier to complete these mini quests. Her long range also makes it easy to knock any enemies off of towers. Lastly, she is a DPS unit that can deal with mobs quickly. In technical terms she’s the ideal travel partner.
Spiral Abyss (10/10): This is where she truly shines. With her AoE attacks she can quickly obliterate the enemies making for faster and more efficient runs. Pair her with a Hydro character for amazing crowd control freezes.
Artifact Farming (9/10): She serves the same role here as she does in the Abyss.
Normal/Weekly Bosses (8/10): In 1v1 boss fights she can still hold her own, however, single target DPS characters like Hu Tao are better for these situations. Because she is a range user, she excels against Storm Terror since she can damage him during flight.
