XINGQIU TALENTS / SKILLS
Normal Attack: Perform up to 5 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Guhua Sword: Fatal Rainscreen (Elemental Skill): Xingqiu performs twin strikes with his sword, dealing Hydro DMG. At the same time, this ability creates the maximum number of Rain Swords, which will orbit your active character.
The Rain Swords have the following properties:
- When a character takes DMG, the Rain Sword will shatter, reducing the amount of DMG taken.
- Increases the character’s resistance to interruption.
20% of Xingqiu’s Hydro DMG Bonus will be converted to additional DMG Reduction for the Rain Swords.
The maximum amount of additional DMG Reduction that can be gained this way is 24%.
The initial maximum number of Rain Swords is 3.
Using this ability applies the Wet status onto the character.

Guhua Sword: Raincutter (Elemental Burst): Initiate Rainbow Bladework and fight using an illusory sword rain, while creating the maximum number of Rain Swords.

- Your active character’s Normal Attacks will trigger consecutive sword rain attacks, dealing Hydro DMG.
- Rain Swords will remain at the maximum number throughout the ability’s duration.

Hydropathic: When a Rain Sword is shattered or when its duration expires, it regenerates the current character’s HP based on 6% of Xingqiu’s Max HP.

BURST SUPPORT: Xingqiu should be built as a support/sub dps if you want the most out of him. You want as much ER, ATK, CR, and CD on him followed with Hydro Damage. If you pair her with Yelan you won’t need as much ER on him as they can battery each other. However, if you want him by himself he’ll need around 200%+ ER to maintain his burst uptime.
These are also general recommendations, you will need to alter your artifacts and stat builds based on what content you want to use this character for and what team you are using him/her with, however, these are consider among the best swords for Xingqiu. A general rule for DPS units are CR is roughly 50% of your CD.
XINGQIU CONSTELLATIONS
The Scent Remained (Lvl 1): Increases the maximum number of Rain Swords by 1.
Rainbow Upon the Azure Sky (Lvl 2): Extends the duration of Guhua Sword: Raincutter by 3s.
Decreases the Hydro RES of opponents hit by sword rain attacks by 15% for 4s.
Weaver of Verses (Lvl 3): Increases the Level of Guhua Sword: Raincutter by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Evilsoother (Lvl 4): Throughout the duration of Guhua Sword: Raincutter, the DMG dealt by Guhua Sword: Fatal Rainscreen is increased by 50%.
Embrace of Rain (Lvl 5): Increases the Level of Guhua Sword: Fatal Rainscreen by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Hence, Call Them My Own Verses (Lvl 6): Activating 2 of Guhua Sword: Raincutter’s sword rain attacks greatly enhances the third sword rain attack. On hit, the third sword rain attack also regenerates 3 Energy for Xingqiu.
STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES
STRENGTHS:
- Xingqiu is one of the best DPS Burst Supports in Genshin Impact!
- He’s a great battery due to his second skill giving a lot of energy, especially with the Sacrificial Sword.
- His burst deals constant damage which drastically increases your dps output in many parts of the game.
WEAKNESSES
- He is weak against Hydro monsters since they are immune to hydro damage.
- He doesn’t pair well with bow users if most of the damage comes from bow charges.
- His burst has a higher cost, longer cooldown, and shorter duration than Yelan‘s.
RANKING
Combat Rating (9/10): Xingqiu is easily one of the best for combat ease of use. He recharges himself quickly and comes ready out of the box. No technical skill needed, just burst and smash.
Exploration (2/10): He doesn’t really offer anything significant in exploring the map other than maybe clearing monsters faster.
Spiral Abyss (10/10): He is amazing with single target dps units since he can constantly apply wet status and deal damage with every normal attack.
Artifact Farming (9/10): Artifact farming varies based on the type and enemies you are facing. He’s great for most areas unless it’s a very hydro heavy domain.
Normal/Weekly Bosses (9/10): 1v1 bosses are his bread and butter. He constantly applies wet status and deals good damage. He’s a must have in making your boss fights quick and efficient.
